Live Artist Support - BlackRockstar & Noel Robinson

Last month I had the privilege of running guitars alongside BlackRockstar, as the supporting act for Noel Robinson's live concert in Maranatha Ministries in Amsterdam. We worked closely with the in-house sound engineer to run a seamless event. The stage setting was ampless, all instruments running digital amps and DI's. In-ear monitoring was made available through Behringer P16's.

As sound engineers, proper and consistent training can greatly enhance the quality of the sound during events. Here are some steps to help you train and develop to be a better sound engineer: Establish a Training Program: Design a structured training program that covers the essential aspects of sound engineering, including equipment operation, signal flow, mixing techniques, troubleshooting, and best practices. Break the training program into modules or sessions that gradually build on each other, allowing volunteers to learn at your own pace. Get More Technical Knowledge: Start by learning the basics of audio equipment, including the functions of different components, signal paths, and signal routing. Introduce yourself to the main sound console and its various controls, such as gain, EQ, dynamics, and effects. Know the purpose and proper usage of each control.
